In response to some requests for additional time, we’ve decided to extend the deadline for Life Between Umbrellas competition. This means more time for the important design and collaboration work that is taking place. The new deadline for the competition is Monday, April 29 at 5:00pm.
Exciting news! The Vancouver Design Nerds are bringing their giant inflatable bubble to the 800-Robson plaza to lead a series of design jam workshops for the Life Between Umbrellas Design Ideas and Activation Contest. As you might expect, the bubble is rain-proof, so this event is rain or shine!
The Life Between Umbrellas website is up and running as of March 1, so be sure to take a look around and let us know what you think. We will be updating the site regularly with additional articles and information on rain-friendly public spaces. You can also check out the Questions page, as we will be posting inquiries we receive regarding the competition
Last night’s launch event for Life Between Umbrellas was a great success! A big thank you to everyone that came to the sold-out event at Creekside Community Centre. Presentations from all of our speakers will be online shortly (see the Documents section).
